This morning busloads of young Solomon Islanders (along with Archbishop Adrian Smith) left Lismore Diocese where they have spent "Days in the Diocese" since last Thursday, and headed to Sydney for World Youth Day (they should have arrived there by now).
They made a great impression on the local families that hosted them, and a number of them are keen now to visit Solomon Islands. Multiply this by the number of other towns where groups stayed, and you may have a mini-boost to tourism.
The young pilgrims have proved to be excellent ambassadors for Solomon Islands.  |
